Test an integrated platform with your real workflows, sample data and the people who will depend on it each day.
An integrated platform can reduce the effort of switching between tools, but consolidation is useful only when the workflows fit. Select a few real tasks—such as handling a new customer, approving work and recording a payment—and ask the provider to demonstrate them from beginning to end.
Key considerations
Check data export, user permissions, audit history, integrations, training and ongoing support. Ask what happens to your records if you stop using the platform, and test the answers rather than relying on a sales presentation.
Putting it into practice
Start with the processes that matter most, migrate a small set of clean data and gather feedback before expanding. Choose based on fit and long-term control, not a feature checklist alone.
